No Extravagant Wedding For Vince Vaughn
Vince Vaughn hates extravagant celebrity weddings. The Hollywood hunk – who is engaged to Canadian estate agent Kyla Weber – wants to have a “small” intimate ceremony because he loathes over-the-top nuptials. “Thankfully we’re going to have a small wedding with just our families, which is good. I’ve seen these huge weddings on cliff-tops and it’s unclear what goes through these people’s minds. But then I always start taking bets ‘Wedding Crashers’ style, like, ‘I give this wedding a year-and-a-half tops.’ ” The 39-year-old actor believes soon-to-be married couples overcompensate by planning lavish weddings in a bid to deter them from divorce. He is reported by Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: “If the wedding is that big and that crazy, you start to go, ‘What are they making up for?’ Is that a way to convince each other – ‘Let’s make the biggest spectacle possible because there’s no way we can get a divorce from this.’ And inevitably they do.” Hmmmmnn – someone should do a study on this. Correlation between divorce rates and money spent on celebrity weddings!
