Sophia Bush Sounds Off About Young Hollywood
“One Tree Hill” actress Sophia Bush sits down with talk show host Bonnie Hunt to talk about the long-running teen show, the role her teachers played in her life and her thoughts on young Hollywood on “The Bonnie Hunt Show” airing Tuesday, October 13. Sophia tells Bonnie that she was honored to be asked to join the organization, “Teachers Count,” because her teacher were so influential in who she has become and how she prepares for roles which she takes very seriously. “I think particularly with young people in the entertainment industry the focus has gotten inappropriate. When people can have careers which consist of nothing but going to parties…and they get paid to go to parties because they’ve been less than clothed…it’s not something I can believe in.” “The thing that I find very detrimental when that example is being set for young women is even should you be this sort of person who will lower yourself enough to live by an, ‘I”ll do anything to be famous’ standard, it doesn’t last. Because on “One Tree Hill” she plays an, “out of control sexpot girl and had a nervous breakdown every morning at work before I had to shoot the scenes,” she is always asked what she thinks is sexy and she always says, “I think smart is sexy because that’s all that last.”
