Brittany Murphy’s last film has just been picked up for distribution by Anchor Bay Entertainment. The movie, ‘Abandoned’, was the final film for the actress. She had finished shooting it just last June. The producers of the film had this to say: “Brittany will be deeply missed by everyone who worked on Abandoned. The film is a taut thriller which portrays Brittany’s character as smart and tough – and that’s how we all want to remember her,” Anchor Bay’s president want to be sure they time the film’s release properly: “It was important to Anchor Bay that the timing of this release be right, because we’re sensitive to such a tragic loss. However, we also recognize that Brittany’s fans will want to see her amazing work,” The movie co-stars Dean Cain and Mimi Rogers . A little more about the film’s plot: In “Abandoned” Murphy plays Mary Walsh who takes her boyfriend to hospital for routine outpatient surgery but he vanishes with no record of him left behind. She was asked if her family knew the show’s songs yet: “They definitely know them because they’ve seen the show like 40 times,” she shared. “My sister and my family has seen the show numerous times.” She also shared how she finds time to spend with her family despite the busy Broadway schedule: “I’m a Libra and it’s all about balance,” she explained. “You just find a way. Luckily, except for on the weekends, it’s a night show. I’m home all day.” She doesn’t plan to stay in NYC after her run is over: “No, I’m not going to although I love New York,” Ashlee said about continuing to live in NYC. “I think it’s a beautiful place and maybe one day I will live here.” Ashlee shares what’s in store after the show: “Motherhood,” she said. “I plan to take a little break after this. While at the Sundance Film Festival – where Peet, 38, premiered the comedy Please Give on Jan. 22 – the actress showed off her baby bump and was overheard telling pals, “We’re having a baby girl!” Congrats!
