Ashlee Simpson’s run as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s ‘Chicago’ is scheduled to end soon. The audience got to ask the actress and singer about her future plans during a Q&A after Tuesday night’s show. She was asked if her family knew the show’s songs yet: “They definitely know them because they’ve seen the show like 40 times,” she shared. “My sister and my family has seen the show numerous times.” She also shared how she finds time to spend with her family despite the busy Broadway schedule: “I’m a Libra and it’s all about balance,” she explained. “You just find a way. Luckily, except for on the weekends, it’s a night show. I’m home all day.” She doesn’t plan to stay in NYC after her run is over: “No, I’m not going to although I love New York,” Ashlee said about continuing to live in NYC. “I think it’s a beautiful place and maybe one day I will live here.” Ashlee shares what’s in store after the show: “Motherhood,” she said. “I plan to take a little break after this. I’m going to take a break in the meantime and figure out what I’m going to do.” Even though Bronx will keep her very busy, she’s not going to be sitting completely idle: “But I will be making another record,” she said. “In that time, you’ve got to make some music.” Did you have a chance to catch her on Broadway?
